Stony Brook University, Total Systems Education, Ltd. and PMI Long Island Partnership!

Total Systems Education, Ltd. has a cooperative agreement with Stony Brook University and the Long Island Chapter of PMI to bring PDU bearing Project Management training to a public venue.  Courses are hosted by SUNY Stony Brook’s Center for Emerging Technology and taught by Total Systems Education’s professional staff of instructors.

Multiple offerings enable individuals to learn specific Project Management tools and techniques, prepare for their PMP certification and earn professional certificates from Stony Brook in Project Management and/or Business Analysis.  Since Total Systems Education is certified as a PMI Global Registered Education provider (R.E.P.) all of our training programs award “Contact Hours” for those preparing for their PMP, and Professional Development Units (PDUs) for those working to maintain their PMP credential.

Of special interest is our three-day Project Planning and Control (PP&C) Workshop.  PP&C is also certified by the New York State Society of Professional Engineers (NYSSPE).  This course enables Professional Engineers (PEs) to earn 24 of the 36 Professional Development Hours (PDH’s) required to renew their license.

By attending a series of our courses, either in-house or at Stony Brook, Project Management and/or Business Analysis Certificates can be awarded by Stony Brook University!

Visit the Stony Brook website for more details and the current schedule.

Courses normally offered at SBU on a quarterly basis include:

·        TSE001 PP&C Foundations

·        TSE015 PMP Exam Prep

·        TSE006 Project Leadership Workshop

·        TSE007 Microsoft Project Introduction Workshop

BUSINESS ANALYSIS for OUTSOURCED AND IN-HOUSE DEVELOPMENT

In the world of projects:

- Business Requirements must be right!

               -  The Specifications and Details must be right!

The Project Plan, its Execution and Control must be right!

The  Deliverables created In-house or Offshore must be right!

(Because rework eats the benefits of outsourcing!)

We have enhanced and packaged four of our most popular programs into the:

TOTAL SYSTEMS - CORE BUSINESS ANALYST SERIES

and

PRESENTATIONS

BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS

Can you answer these questions about your projects?

What will your project do for the business?

Who decided that, the business or IT?

                  Who 'owns' the project?

                        Do they know that?

Will we know if it is a success? How?

Should the project even be a project?

Need some answers to get it right the next time?
